Walk Thru the Bible’s mission statement says it all!

Founded in 1976 by Bruce Wilkinson, the idea for WTTB was the subject of his master’s thesis at Dallas Theological Seminary. Wilkinson placed his academic project on the desk of Dr. Howard Hendricks. After a brief look, Hendrick’s asked, “Does it work?” Wilkinson must have looked confused. “Does it work?”, Hendricks repeated. “Try it out it in five churches and report back.”

Two years later, I participated in a Walk Thru the Old Testament seminar conducted by Wilkinson at Wayside Chapel of San Antonio. Let me answer Dr. Hendrick’s question. IT WORKS! That first Walk Thru the Bible seminar captured my heart and my imagination. It equipped me to read the Bible on my own and understand what God wants me to know. I have walked with Jesus since 1971, attending many seminars.
