The Story of the New Testament
Jesus & His Friends
If you love Jesus, you are part of His story. Those who love Jesus do what He tells them to do. We obey His commands. We are His friends! What was the last thing Jesus said to His friends before returning to heaven? “Go, make disciples.”
To help you make more disciples, we have created a series of New Testament lessons.
Using This Material
There are forty key points in this series. Hand-signs and keywords are associated with each key point. Walk Thru the Bible developed the Bible memory system used in this series. Disciple Daily has modified and added to it. This material is for your use as a discipler where you live, work, and play.
Every video takes about three minutes to watch. The videos demonstrate the hand-signs and keywords associated with each point.
- Watch the video.
- Memorize and practice the hand-sign and keyword.
- Read the storyline Bible passages for that video.
- Teach what God told you to your family, friends, and colleagues.
Take Your Time
God’s Word is intended for common people, people like us. The Bible is meant to be understood, consumed and lived. This series is all about showing you how to take the Bible to folks God has placed in your sphere of influence.
Don’t rush through the lessons. Subscribers to Disciple Daily resources will receive a new lesson in their email once a week. Take the entire week to explore the ideas and concepts introduced by the video and lesson. As a subscriber you are part of a growing global community of Jesus followers who make disciples one story, one person at a time until He returns for His Church.
Word of Caution!
This is a training resource for you. Its purpose is to equip you to do what is demonstrated here with others. So, make God’s words, your words. Enjoy!

The Storyline of the Bible
New Testament
Prelude – Between the Testaments*
- Galatians 4:4 tells us that God executed the eternal plan for His Son to leave heaven and sojourn among men at a specific time in history. History is His story!
- Four hundred years elapsed between Malachi, the last prophet of the Hebrew Bible / Old Testament, and the birth of Jesus. God was preparing the world for Jesus to make His entrance. He used three political and military powers to spread the Good News of His Son to everyone, everywhere.
*NOTE: If you have not completed our Old Testament course, we highly recommend that you do that work before taking the New Testament course.

Giving Credit
Dr. Bruce Wilkinson created the innovative Bible memory system of hand-signs and keywords used by Disciple Daily. The system was part of an assignment given to Dr. Wilkinson as a student while attending Dallas Theological Seminary. Today, the ministry he founded, Walk Thru the Bible, is helping people live God’s Word everywhere.
Based on this system, Disciple Daily is available for conducting unique Live Event training seminars for your church or small group.
