Your Key to Unlocking
Over sixty percent of the Bible is a story. Not knowing the storyline of the Bible, from beginning to end, makes it impossible for most people to understand and apply the Bible’s instruction to their personal lives. Is that you? We can help!
Think of the Bible as a play or a movie script. We have divided the Old Testament into five acts, each one with two scenes. Each scene has four key points (people/event) of information that you must know to make sense of the entire story.
How To Use Talk Thru the Old Testament
There are forty key points in this series. Hand-signs and keywords are associated with each key point. Walk Thru the Bible developed the Bible memory system used in this series. Disciple Daily has added the talking points.
Every video takes about five minutes to watch. The videos demonstrate the hand-sign and keyword related to that key person.
- Watch the video.
- Memorize and practice the hand-sign and keyword.
- Read the storyline Bible passages for that video.
- Teach what God told you to your family, friends, and colleagues.
Take Your Time
Like a batch of home-made cookies, the Bible is a book to be savored, enjoyed deeply. It is to be placed on the family table where everyone in the house can pick it up, not locked away and hoarded, grudgingly shared, or dispensed by the elite to the masses. God’s Word is intended for common people, people like us. God’s Word is meant to be near people, to be understood, consumed and lived. But fallen man’s history of exchanging truth for lies has included confounding the clear and removing the near. This series is all about showing how God’s sweet words are accessible to all.
Don’t rush through the Talk Thru the Bible series. Take a week to explore the ideas and concepts introduced by each video and lesson. If you are a Team member, we will send you an email each week as a reminder. Remember. As a Team member of Disciple Daily, you are part of a growing community of Jesus followers, making disciples one story, one person at a time until He returns for His Church.
Word of Caution!
This is a training resource for you. Its purpose is to equip you to do what is demonstrated here with others. Please, do not use these videos as the content for another Bible study. You can demonstrate the hand-signs and keywords, tell the story, read the passages, and conduct conversations for/with the people God wants you to disciple. So, make God’s words, your words. Enjoy!
