The storyline of the Bible is the foundation on which all correct interpretation and application of the Scriptures rests. Separating the events of biblical history from one’s interpretation and application of the Bible is a recipe for disaster. This is why it is so important for those who claim to be followers of Jesus to equip those they disciple with a working knowledge of the continuously unfolding God’s grand story. Becoming equipped to make disciple-making disciples is what the Carpenters Class is all about.
Arlie Francis, of Disciple Daily, teaches the storyline of the Bible as the foundation for a disciple making lifestyle. Join us Sunday morning at Wayside Chapel in San Antonio, TX.
Those Who Attend
Learn the twelve key stories of our Stories of God series. These are the cornerstone stories of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation. Each story can be told in 3-5 minutes. Not only do those who attend learn to tell these stories, they are shown how to teach others to teach them. This series places proper emphasis on the Jewish background of God’s Word.
Learn the 154 hand-signs and key words of the Walk Thru the Bible memory system. This training equips disciples to sequentially remember all of the major people, places and events of both the Old and New Testaments.
This is your invitation to join us. The Carpenters Class is not your ordinary Sunday School class. We are an intergenerational community. That means people from all stages of life are welcome. We have singles, young and older married couples, college students, teenagers, and even a few children attending. Our format is conversational, always focused on the Word of God. Everyone is encouraged to participate. All of us are working towards getting equipped to obey Jesus’s command found in Matthew 28:18-20. We are learning how to make disciples who make disciples.
