Blake De Leon
THE FELLOWSHIP 2021-22
I was born and raised in the beautiful PNW state of Washington.
I served with the U.S. Marine Corps for five years. While on pre-deployment leave, I was in an accident where I was attempting to start a bone fire and things went wrong. I was burned severely and immediately flown to San Antonio where I have now recovered for the past four years. Along this new journey I re-dedicated my life to Christ.
Slowly, but surely, I have been discovering my identity in Jesus. As I exited the Marines in April 2021, being medically retired, I found retirement to be boring at such a young age. I felt a calling on my life to serve in a church, so I started to search for jobs. During that time God had placed a very good friend that I met through other friends in my life. He suggested this program to me because he knew the struggles I’ve been facing personally. When I heard about The Fellowship it sounded like absolutely everything I needed to grow closer to Christ. So I took it! God has surely blessed my life.
The Fellowship is encouraging us to begin blogging which I am no writer, but for Christ and for the overall bigger purpose of this program I can definitely try. I am excited to see what God is going to do not only in my life, but everyone involved in the program along with every person we come into contact with while sharing the Gospel. I am committed to develop a deeper relationship with my Creator, to be able to share my Creator’s Story. All for His glory and His will, not mine! So stay tuned, I’ll be writing every week!
